Jaya Bachchan (Hindi: जया बच्चन, Urdu: جیا بچّن), born Jaya Bhaduri April 10, 1948 in Jabalpur, is a Bollywood actress. She is an alumna of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Jaya is married to Amitabh Bachchan, a legend in Hindi cinema, as well as Indian cinema in general. Her son Abhishek Bachchan is also currently a successful actor.
