The environment has become an important factor in the decision making process of all human beings around the world. Environmental issues are becoming more complex and interconnected. There are many aspects of governance and politics, which are tremendous relevance to the management of the environment. Control over natural resources should be seen as a major political issue with important ramifications for the long-term stability of the political system.
