Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi (Hindi: इंदिरा प्रियदर्शिनी गांधी) (19 November 1917 - October 31, 1984) She was the Prime Minister of India for three consecutive terms from 1966 to 1977 and for a fourth term from 1980 until her assassination in 1984. She was India's first and to date only female prime minister. She is noted for creating a dictatorship by declaring Emergency after a court struck down her election in 1975, and also for her handling of the Operation Blue Star against Sikh militants, which eventually resulted in her assassination.

Doreswamy Iyengar, generally known as Mysore V Doreswamy Iyengar (1920 - 1997), was born into a family of musicians. His father, Venkatesha Iyengar, was himself a Vainika and a musician in the court of the Maharaja of Mysore.

He started learning the Veena from his father at an early age and soon became the disciple of Veena Venkatagiriyappa one of the foremost Vainikas of the day in Mysore. He gave his first public performance in 1943, in the Bangalore Gayana Samaja. He participated in music conferences including the one in Shiraz, Iran in 1969.

He studied BA in the Maharaja’s College in Mysore. He was the music director of the All India Radio in Bangalore. The University of Mysore conferred on him an Honorary Doctorate in 1975.

Sir Mirza Muhammad Ismail (1883-1959) was a Diwan of the Kingdom of Mysore. A childhood friend of the king Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, he acted as the king’s private secretary (1923-1926) and later worked as the Diwan from 1926-41. His contributions include the development of the Brindavan Gardens and launching the first rural electrification programme in India. Like one of his predecessors Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya, he was known for being industry friendly and it was during his tenure that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited was set up. Other industries started during his period as diwan include paper, cement, steel, fertilizers, sugar and electric bulbs.

Clayton Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, with a joint appointment in the Technology & Operations Management and General Management faculty groups. He then developed a course called Managing Innovation.
